I am still trying to find time to get this photo-gallery site designed and coded. I just need to sit down and get it done. Hopefully, that will happen in the near future.
And as the previous update noted, the Featured Photograph page is live along with a few of the other galleries, including past featured photographs, which are viewable by clicking the ENTER button in the graphic above.
Update - February 2, 2009:
I am finally getting this photo-gallery site designed and coded. It will take me a while to get everything wrapped up and online, since I have little time to spend on coding this site these days.
The Featured Photograph page is live, and is viewable by clicking the ENTER button in the graphic above. I have also included a couple of past Featured Photographs, under the menu heading of Featured Photographs / Past Featured Photos.
I'm still not writing much in my photography blog, but it is still available Last Writs. As soon as this site is completed, perhaps I'll focus more on writing in that photography-oriented journal.
Update - January 12, 2009:
Wow! Another 6 months went by and nothing more has been completed on this gallery website. So many other "real world" things have taken precedence over getting this website gallery rebuilt and underway. Hopefully, the cold weather and having life settle down a bit, will allow me to finally repost all of my photographs and index my photographic work into a comprehensive online gallery.
The Featured Photograph page is live, and viewable by clicking the ENTER button in the graphic above, but the rest of the site will probably still be inactive. Or, for now, people can read my blog over at Last Writs. Hopefully, I'll have more time to write and update it as well.
Update - July 28, 2008:
Not much has been completed on my photogallery in the past month. I've been inundated with other jobs, and dealing with non-web related issues, so I haven't had much time to get this site back online. Hopefully, I'll find some time over the next couple of weeks to code my photogallery pages.
Update - June 20, 2008:
I have finally started to get around to working on creating my gallery pages. It will be a short while before I start publishing photos again, since I have had a lot of projects going at the same time, that aren't web or photography related. So, everyone will just have to wait. ;-)
First, I'd like to say it has been interesting sharing a little bit of my local area, and how I view the world, with many diverse peoples from around the globe, but after much more reflection on a recent issue, I have decided to withdraw all my higher resolution photographs from the Internet altogether, to stop the thefts that have been occurring recently.
I finally just got tired of spending time "hunting down people," if you will, who had stolen my photographs. It wasn't leaving me much time to do anything else. So I figured it was time for a change...
I'll be replacing my former Photo Of The Day gallery with a subject/theme oriented gallery that will probably display lower resolution photographs, or maybe 1024x768 sized images bearing much heavier copyright watermarking than I have used in the past. That method should deter most thefts, but undoubtedly won't deter all of them.
I'm still working on a design for this new gallery site, but I'll code a gallery that is fairly simple and straight-forward.
I just began realizing that it was time for me to start treating my photographs as that legacy that *I* get to leave behind, instead of allowing other people to take that personal privilege away from me a little bit at a time without my permission.
In addition, I may start a writing journal focusing on photography issues. I am in the process of setting up a journal titled, Last Writs.
For now, many of my smaller resolution photographs have been posted on a Myspace account, until I can find the scarcee time to set this PhotoGallery site up.
